SYNOPSIS

The heart of this astonishing story, which is based on true events and a staggering reality, is a voyage along the most intimate contours of human emotion and reveals what can happen when love and hate, black magic and faith, alienation and redemption all converge around one girl.
The events are profoundly moving and some are truly dreadful, yet the girl’s unwavering quest for the spirit of life shines through. Few people will love her and many will try to imprison or kill her so they may benefit from her body which, according to local beliefs, can ward off evil. And yet, she never ceases to search for love and friendship.

What perils will she encounter and will she find a way to overcome the prejudice? Is her story linked to something greater that reaches beyond the confines of her world?
